Every bottle is blended by hand, in small batches, by people who will never meet you and still care how it opens on your skin.
At the counter
The bottle, the box, the name and the shop are most of what you pay for. None of them is scented oil.
Concentration
A perfume is scented oil in alcohol. The alcohol lifts within minutes; the oil is what stays. Most of what sits on a counter is 5 to 20% oil. Every Saltworks fragrance is 25% parfum. It is why ours sits closer to the skin, develops slowly as it warms, and is still there at dinner.

Not louder. Denser, more settled. More like a second skin than a cloud that disappears after the opening.
At the counter
What you smell in the first thirty seconds is mostly the alcohol opening. It is the part that leaves.
Ingredients
Sourced from Grasse, the town the industry still buys its best materials from. Sixty-four perfumes in the house, and the same idea behind all of them: a scent should feel like it belongs to you, not something you wear for a moment.

Choosing
A perfume that lasts all day is a commitment, and a paper strip at a counter is not enough to make it. So we start people with ten.
